Circle of Light Women’s Gathering: Celebration of Samhain

Samhain is a threshold in the seasonal year. The days are shortening, and the natural world is turning toward darkness and rest. Historically, many human cultures have connected with this time as a time to remember and honor those who have died, and to keep close the stories of those who came before.
For this circle, everyone is invited to bring a photograph or an object that connects you with someone who has passed. Together, we will co-create an altar of remembrance with these items, light the candles, and make space to share about those we’ve lost.
The invitation will be to share about the person- who they were, why you chose the particular photograph or object, what you miss, and how the grief is living in you. Sharing is optional. There may be stories, laughter, silence, and tears. Witnessing each other holding these losses is a powerful practice. Speaking the names of those we’ve lost and those we love is an important part of the process of loss and grief.
You are welcome to join us in this sacred space.
